Advice from UK Recruiter

• Finding a Recruitment Company: The  Directories of Recruitment Companies page has a listing of sites where you can locate information on UK based recruitment companies.   Some of the links take you to sites where you can search by sector and/or job title and where you can get in-depth detail on the agencies/consultancies listed.  Also, by searching the job boards for vacancies in your field you will come across recruiters who are most likely to be appropriate to your job search and most of the time you will be able to locate their contact details somewhere on the advert. 

• Using Job Boards: We have a listing of over 400 job boards split up by industry sector/job function.  Simply look down the relevant list clicking on the sites that cover the industries you work in or wish to work in.   You should also look at some of the sites that cover all job sectors

• Posting your CV on the web: If you want agencies to come to you, as well you registering with them,  you might want to consider submitting your details to a CV Database.  Next to each CV Database on the list is a short description of the industries covered.   None of these sites should charge you for the basic service.
