#truManchester, 8th and 9th September

is the 5′th recruiting unconference organised since we launched in November 2009. So far we have hosted 2 events in London as well as Madison,U.S.A and Amsterdam.

An unconference is an event different in most ways to a traditional conference.

There are a few simple rules to understand before deciding to sign up for an unconference:

1: There are no presentations or Powerpoint

2: Any attendee can lead a track on any topic of their choice

3: The role of the track leader is to facilitate conversation not to dictate it. Any attendee can speak at any time, we just ask that you show common courtesy  to all the other attendees.

4: Tracks initially last for 1 hour

5: Attendees are encouraged to move between tracks at any time. don’t stay around being bored in order to be polite

Apart from that, pretty much anything goes. You can network in the coffee hour, question and disagree with the track leaders and  start your own tracks at any time. Don’t wait for permission or an invitation!

The key to get the most out of this event is to attend with your own questions and contacts you want to meet and to jump in with both feet.

Tickets are £100 for 2 days and attendance is strictly restricted to 100, so you need to book now.

Mobile & Video in Recruitment Conference Announced – 28th September 2010 - London
The first ever conference dedicated to Mobile & Video In Recruitment was announced today by Mike Taylor from Online Recruitment Marketing Specialists, Web Based Recruitment. The conference will take place in London on Tuesday 28th September 2010.

Mobile
Gone are the days where you could only view a web site on your PC or laptop. Today there are many different internet enabled devices which means that job seekers can view details about your company and vacancies anytime, anywhere and practically on any device. If you add to that the fact that the Mobile Internet will shortly account for more than 50% of all internet access in the UK it is clear that companies need to be thinking seriously about how to incorporate mobile as part of their recruitment marketing strategy.

Video
Until recently the majority of recruitment advertising was text based. However, with the increased availability of broadband access (and faster speeds) it has never been easier to view videos through a mobile device, laptop or PC. Video can say so much more than text and people are five times as likely to retain information from what they see and hear as opposed to just reading. By utilising online video to compliment their existing recruitment marketing activities there is a great opportunity for Recruiters to promote their company and vacancies and gain a competitive advantage at the same time.

The Conference programme, which will feature an excellent mixture of leading industry speakers, case studies and an interactive discussion panel, will be published on the Mobile & Video In Recruitment web site: www.MobileandVideoinRecruitment.com.   Use the discount code “ukrecruiter15”  to take 15% off the early bird price of £325.00
