Article One: Idealpeople website review by Jonathan Spybey

Company Name – Idealpeople
Website Address – www.idealpeople.net

Site description
A recruitment agency specialising in the Communications, e-Business, IT and New Media sectors in the UK and internationally.

Creative design
A graphical, beautifully designed website with great use of colour and animation. Clients, Candidates and News sections are colour coded. The colour is followed through into the layout of each section. Flash Animation adds to the visual feast and has been implemented in ways that still allow search engines to navigate the website.

Ease of use
Colour coding is a simple but clean way to delineate different sections of the website. It adds to the ease of use because visitors subconsciously learn what area of the website they are in by which colour is dominant on the page.

Relevant content
Each candidates and clients page has been edited into suitable chunks of readable text ending with a link to the next subsection of information. Splitting a lot of text into separate pages like this is an excellent way to keep the content readable and exciting. Case Studies or Testimonials are viewable on all pages.

Candidate and client functionality
This is a powerful website and an excellent marketing tool for Idealpeople. Job searches launch a new window and accesses CWJobs’ database with the keyword ‘idealpeople’. At the time of writing the review this produced no results. By changing the search keyword to another word e.g. ‘Designer’ many results appear, each leading to other recruitment agencies websites. Even when Idealpeople populate CWJobs’ database with plenty of their own vacancies, candidates are likely to change the keyword search and in the process get taken away from the Idealpeople website.

Online marketing
The website has limited visibility on the web. Typing in the company name – even with a space between ‘Ideal’ and ‘People’ - in Google finds the website without a problem. Other keyword searches don’t bring up the website except for unusual keyword combinations like ‘e-Business recruitment’.

Summary
An excellently designed and implemented website that oozes the company’s professionalism out of every pore. It is presently let down by a lack of Job search results, though this can be rectified once Idealpeople populate CWJobs’ database with its vacancies. It will remain a concern that the job search results will send many a candidate on to other recruitment agencies.
