I’ve just been sent a copy of a brand new recruitment book; How to Recruit (& Retain) The Right Staff. It’s been written for business owners, directors and managers who have responsibility for recruitment; whether by an agency or using the DIY method! The author is Graham Martin who is the founder & MD of Orchard Recruitment.
What’s interesting about it is that Graham believes it’s a useful sales aid for recruiters to give to prospective and existing clients as it heavily promotes the use of recruitment agencies in general.
Now, I’ve not read it all yet but from the snippets I have (which incidentally you can get from Graham as a free taster PDF if you email help@therecruitmentguy.com) I think it’s a nice intro to the full recruitment process. It’s written in an informal style with lots of little examples and anecdotes.
Graham has agreed to give away a few copies to recruiters who will share their thoughts here. All you need to do is email me with an example of an awful candidate or client interview. On Friday 3rd May I’ll pick 3 names out of a hat and send you a copy of the book.
