We’ve had a mad busy start to the year events wise but looking as we move through June and into July things are quite a lot quieter. I’m pretty sure that there will be even less events in August! As with previous posts I’m going to try and share an overview of the main events so you can work out which ones might best suit your needs:
11th June
The Recruitment Society are holding a 3 hour session in London on Productive Partnerships: HR and Recruiters working together with five guest speakers. Non members are welcome to attend.
13th June
RecConverse are running a Manchester event designed to inspire attendees into fresh thinking. It’s called Recruitment, But Not As We Know It and is for inhouse recruitment and HR professionals.
13th June
Also in the Northern regions on the same day (well evening actually) is an event organised by the Centre for In-house Recruiting Excellence. It’s the CIRE Roundtable – Yorkshire – The Future of Work and is again (like the RecConverse events) only for inhouse and RPO recruitment professionals.
18th June
I might be biased but I’m pretty sure that our own Recruitment Technology Showcase Event is the must attend event of the year. With a great line up of speaker presentations and 20 different technology providers to chat with – there is something for every recruiter here:
19th & 20th June
The CIPD Recruitment Conference is bound offer a jam packed two days of advice on how to attract, select and retain the best people for your organisation’s future success. You can choose up to 8 sessions on recruitment strategies, talent planning, international recruitment and more.
20th June
The #rcnvs Social and Mobile Recruiting event is ony for inhouse recruiters which is a shame for agencies as it’s looking at how companies are currently using both social and mobile to recruit and what you can expect from this market over the next 12 months.
27th June
Global Recruiter hold their annual glitzy invite only Recruiter Industry Awards 2013 during the afternoon and into the evening. If you aren’t invited they suggest you concentrate your business activities on making the shortlist next year!
4th July
A UK Recruiter Directors Only Event on the subject of Finding and Retaining Great Staff for your recruitment business. Runs in the afternoon in central London and ideal for anyone running or managing a recruitment business.
11th July
The Mobile Recruitment Conference & Social Media in Recruitment Conference are annual events organised by Mike Taylor from Web Based Recruitment. This year he is running both on the same date. The morning conference sessions consist of a mixture of keynote speakers, case studies and trends covering both mobile and social media. They will also have the popular “success stories” session past delegates share their success from implementing social media and mobile strategies. The afternoon programme will consist of individual Mobile Master Class sessions including Mobile Websites, Mobile Apps and Mobile Marketing.
17th Juy
Branding: What impact can it have on your business? is an event hosted by the Recruitment Society and takes place mid morning and over lunch with 3 expert speakers. Non members are welcome to attend.
18th July
By now, all employers should understand the impact of the candidate experience on their business. The #rcnvs Candidate Experience Vs Recruiter Experience event aims to not only understand what makes a world class candidate experience, but also debate what is more important; the candidate or recruiter experience.
