Why recruitment has a bad name; example 41

I got this email last week…

Can you help?  I am a recruiter in the UK and I have been given a test assignment to fill a Managing Director role in the clothing industry. I am looking for sites where I can find CV’s of top senior level applicants. 
I have looked in the obvious places – suggestions 

Quite honestly I was flummoxed.  What on earth was she asking me?  Who on earth employed her?  Was Jeremy Beadle waiting to pounce (if you’re under 30 you probably have no idea who Jeremy Beadle is!!)?

THIS is why the recruitment industry has a bad name.
