So we are working towards the end of year. Things are quieter into December and will be through to January. As with previous posts I’m going to try and share an overview of the main events so you can work out which ones might best suit your needs:
6th November
The topic of International expansion is one not far from the thoughts of any successful recruitment agency owner (in fact we ran an event ourselves on it back in October). Recruitment International’s half day event in central London helps you consider some key questions on the subject.
12th November
UK Recruiter’s big event of the year is The Recruitment Conference. This is an event for everyone within the recruitment industry, bringing together the UK’s leading recruitment experts to cover a multitude of topics relevant to our sector; sales, technology, client development, candidate management, social media, standards and reputation.
The bonus is that during the evening the National Online Recruitment Awards takes place. It’s a lovely social event celebrating the best of online recruitment.
12th November
This is the same topic of International expansion as covered by Recruitment International’s half day event in central London earlier in the month. This time the location is Manchester but the content will still help you consider some key questions on the subject.
14th November
This Reconverse event, entitled The Future of Recruitment Technology will give in-house delegates a short list of hand selected recruitment technology companies that are tried and tested, plus a chance to debate and share war stories in a round table discussion.
20th November
This Reconverse event, entitled Building In-House Executive Search follows a similar theme to the event on the 14th November, giving in-house delegates a short list of hand selected companies that are tried and tested, plus a chance to debate and join a round table discussion.
22nd November
APSCo’s Annual Charity Ball is one of those events which is much anticipated and talked about. The venue this year is the InterContinental Hotel on Park Lane and the evening promises to be full of surprises and sizzling Spanish atmosphere! Don’t delay as the best tables go very quickly…
28th November
The Talent Think Tank, one of six sub-groups falling within the HR Think Tank Series, is a face to face networking group for Heads of Talent, Heads of HR and HR Directors interested in discussing and debating topical market issues with their peers across the market. Their half day November event is about Maximising the Value of Talent and will be hosted by Karen Moran (Director of Resourcing, Talent and Leadership) and Annabel Dixon (Head of Resourcing and Talent) at the BBC.
5th December
This Reconverse event, entitled Social and Mobile recruiting looks at predictions and forecasts and social and mobile recruiting in 2014 and the challenges employers will face to stay ahead in the race for the top talent. Matt Alder will be on hand to give his thoughts on 2014 and where he believes the market will head towards.
12th December
No longer called Graduate recruitment apparently, this Post Education Recruitment interactive event looks at the issues that face in-house graduate and student recruiters in the UK next year, as well as emerging talent attraction strategies and technology. Resident futurologist, Matt Alder will look at the issues employers will face around the uptake of mobile and social media within the more recent job seeker market..
