LinkedOut

LIcontactI spotted this earlier on Twitter and just had to share.  Isn’t it strange business practice to completely ignore a legitimate avenue of communication?  Especially if you are in the recruitment space? Especially if you are ‘selling’ a service in that space.  Especially if that service is social media training?  I’ve only blurred the name so you can read the conversation without making an immediate judgement.

I actually think the chap who wrote this is really smart so would love some feedback on what I’m missing here.

Hi Louise, I’m shocked by this… Linkedin for me is a great communication tool, both with candidates and clients. I don’t know why anyone would want to miss out on potentially great people or networking opportunities, just seems ludicrous. Unless he is a Twitter ambassador and needs to make a point? @roartalent

LinkedIn can give all the facts they like about new people joining their network, what I would be interested in is how many linkedIn accounts are inactive, connected to inactive email accounts, or just set with all linked communications sent to spam?
