What should you be asking a potential technology partner?
With my experience from both the recruitment sector as Director/Owner of my own specialist agency and now leading the EMEA team for Talent Rover I would recommend for companies considering new Recruitment Software to consider the following:
– Will Recruiters use it, does it support their workflow?
– Can it be configured to adapt to your workflow?
– Does the provider understand your business and therefore your challenges?
– Is it scalable and stable? If you’re a large or growing agency you need a system that is scalable and of course stable.
– What is their support structure and reputation?
– How are upgrades / new releases managed, charged and implemented?
– Does it support perm, contract, temp, search?
– If you’re contract / temp does the system have / support online timesheets?
– Are reports and dashboards integrated? This is essential for Recruiters to see their activity and Managers to see their teams performance.
– If you’re multi office, multi region, multi currency, will the system support that?
– Will it support your Sales activity as well as your Recruitment workflow?
– Will it evolve with today’s rapidly developing technology environment, what’s their investment into improving and evolving the product?
