Daxtra will be joining us at the technology showcase event on Wednesday 7th June. I recently chatted with Richard Steel about some of the trends in recruitment technology.
Louise: What are you seeing as the main trends in technology usage from recruiters these days?
Richard: Process automation solutions, candidate and jobs mining tools (search, matching, search aggregation), performance analytics and supply&demand data analytics, as well as a general trend towards cloud based recruitment systems.
Louise: I’ve heard you say “the cover letter is dead” – is that really true?
Richard: Looks like it, judging by the stats from our live systems. But whenever there is a cover letter, be sure we will parse it together with the CV.
Louise: Artificial Intelligence is the hot topic of 2017 – what are the main things recruiters should be thinking about?
Richard: Definitely automation – just having a good parser and search is not enough these days, the technology is moving on and, in order to stay competitive, you need to think how to automate routine tasks, such as overall data administration, repetitive searching, matching and information management. In a highly competitive environment where recruiters operate under a constant fee-squeeze from their clients, it became paramount to keep the costs down and efficiencies up. Process automation robotic systems can help you achieve that.
Louise: There will be many different technologies at the showcase event – how important do you think cross product integration is?
Richard: This is absolutely vital (see our latest blog postIf your system is not compatible with other market leading solutions, you will be left behind
