Wage and job vacancy rises show there’s never been a better time to start your own recruitment business
Amid mounting Brexit uncertainty, the news from the Office for National Statistics that wages have seen their biggest rise for ten years prove that the UK jobs market is showing impressive resilience.
Wages were up 3.3% on last year in the three months to October, with employment levels at a record high of 32.48 million.
With wages outstripping inflation for nine months in a row, the figures have shown more and more people are being tempted back into employment – music to the ears of recruiters and companies who are hunting to fill vacancies.
That’s coupled with job vacancies now at a record high of 848,000.
These encouraging figures back up what The Recruit Venture Group has been saying all year – there has never been a better time to start a recruitment business.
And that’s more than just words. The Recruit Venture Group has already launched three new recruitment enterprises this year alone, and the 49 businesses it already supports have reached new milestones in revenues and profits in 2018. It is planning on launching more businesses in 2019.
Despite Brexit, the figures show that the industry continues to thrive.
The Recruit Venture Group funds and supports recruitment professionals with a track record of success in their field to launch their own enterprises. The mantra is ‘create, invest, support, grow’. New recruitment entrepreneurs are given 100% of the finance they need to launch their business, including all of the support needed to get from initial idea to the establishment of their start-up.
The new business owner is then given a full back office support, tailor made to the needs of their business, leaving them to focus on getting out into the market from day one, and driving revenues. Accounts, credit control, payroll, HR, IT, legal and marketing is all taken care of.
Ongoing support and mentoring is then provided by The Recruit Venture Group’s senior team, who have a wealth of experience and offer the guidance needed to manage any situation, and help foster the continued growth of the business.
Managing Director of The Recruit Venture Group, Paul Mizzen, said:
“The situation with Brexit can hardly be described as ideal, but it should in no way be a distraction for those looking to make the leap to recruitment entrepreneurship.
“With Brexit, people are saying “just get on with it”, but I would say the same to those who may be hesitating about starting their own business because of perceived uncertainties right now.
“I’m qualified to say that because The Recruit Venture Group works with nearly 50 recruitment businesses up and down the UK, who are providing their services to a huge range of business sectors. Those recruitment businesses are thriving because they are simply getting on with the job, driving their margins and focusing on growth.
“The news that wages are on the up and that job vacancies are at a new high should be a signal to anyone wanting to start a recruitment business that there is real opportunity out there.
“The statistics speak for themselves, and so I see no reason why anyone looking to start their own business should hesitate.”
