I have been speaking with someone who runs a career advice and CV writing business. They are looking for a Freelancer to work for them writing blogs/articles and by creating links from and to appropriate websites. I was thrilled that she wondered if I might be up for the job. However, I am already suffering from there not being enough hours in the day for me!
So I said I’d ask around. Their key audience is jobseekers and they are looking for someone with an understanding of the technologies out there for these people; such as myspace profiles/podcasts/blogs/online articles. This would be a paid role and the chances are you would blog/write for them anonymously.
If I could find jobsinblogs.com I’d suggest she post the vacancy there. But the site doesn’t appear to exist (yet!) so I thought I’d mention it here.

I received just the same. It was an employment offer from sean john fashion designs at london, UK.
the offer was overwhelming so i got carried away and immediately replied to the email.
They were also asking me to secure a work permit and uk entry clearance. I researched on them and to my surprise, it wasn’t me who is supposed to apply for the work permit but the employer instead!
So what i did was to research on sean johns and again, i was surprise to know that it is not a uk-based company. then, still in doubts, i searched for the address of the “Work Permits” in london and i got across this site.
Hazel, who is also from the Philippines received exactly the same e-mail that was sent to me.
Scams suck!
My advise to those who also aspire to work abroad is to research first on the employer..or better yet, don’t apply at online ads (i got the Sean Johns job vacancy info from bestjobs.ph – no offense meant.
Instead, visit the official website of a company you are eyeing to work for and search for careers at the company. That, I assure you is not a scam.
Do not be a victim. Be wise enough to outwit these junkie people who are behind those scams.
