Back in April I wrote about why Twitter is good for recruiters. I keep meaning to write an update on some recruitment specific applications. So whilst that continues to sit on my "to do" list I wasted 15 minutes earlier trying to find "famous" people on Twitter:

The amazing thing about all these people you have listed, is that they all seem just as excited about Twitter as the rest of us!! Stephen Fry, Jeremy Clarkson and Will Carling are all active Twitters, and they actively participate in the twitterspehere.
Just shows that celebrity or not, they still like engaging with people about some mad and crazy subjects!!
I’ve succumbed, if it’s good enough for Clarkson, it’s good enough for me.

forget Twitter unless you want to be followed by weirdos. I signed up for an account and linked it with a RSS feed from our website – in 6 months we had 2 weird people following it and both US based which is no use if you’re in the UK market. trying to unsubscribe from Twitter is a nightmare – eventually got there and killed the account.
Twitter is all hype – recruiters are better served by LinkedIn
