Just one more day left to nominate a site for the UK Recruitment Blog Awards 2013. I don’t actually know how many nominations we have yet as Alex (who is also our newsletter editor) is organising the nomination process. Come Monday we’ll start creating a finalists list and then onto the judging stage. We have a great team of judges for the awards, and their role is to select up to a dozen finalists per category and then to choose the winner of the Recruitment Blog of the Year 2013 award.

Simon is the editor of The Global Recruiter magazine and website. His career in journalism started within the careers section of The Guardian before branching out into covering more specialised areas of personnel management including training, employment law and recruitment. He has contributed to many trade and an professional magazines as well as working with many leading companies on White Papers and research topics. He manages The Global Recruiter’s blog as well as sourcing contributions for the website and magazine from around the world.
Alan is Operations Director of the Direct Employers Association Europe, the first UK based Trade Association created for hiring organisations with a specific focus on the Talent Acquisition/Resourcing function and the in-house professionals who deliver the recruitment agenda.
He is also a strategy consultant for recruitment challenges, talent acquisition, candidate experience, employment brand, recruitment and social Media. His projects have ensured success for corporate recruitment and talent management teams as well as recruitment agencies and RPO businesses. He has delivered across the board change management, process evolution, employment branding and high touch candidate experience, including the integration of Social Media platforms and initiatives. Alan can be found as a frequent chairman and participant in European conference programmes, with over 300 appearances. He has been published in a number of on-line and off-line media covering technical and strategic HR and Recruitment issues.–
Paul is Sales Manager of Boomerang Funding. He has worked in the recruitment industry for over 10 years, starting with a with a High Street recruiter before going in to more specialist sectors. He has always taken a leadership role in regards to marketing and brand awareness in all of his roles within the recruitment industry. Paul looks after the blog for Boomerang Funding and works with various other suppliers to the recruitment industry with other blogging projects.
Lee is the founder and Managing Director of the UK’s leading independent job board, CV-Library. He has over 15 years of online recruitment experience and is a renowned thought leader within the industry. Highlights from his career include building the largest CV database in the UK (currently holding 6.9 million CVs), being ranked in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 UK and EMEA in 2011 and 2012, and personally being recognised in the Young Guns Class of 2012 and Entrepreneur of the Year at the Inspire Business Awards 2013.
