How should recruiters prepare for the forecast recovery in 2014?

growthI’ve been asked by Global Recruiter to collate some thoughts, from recruiters, on “How should recruiters prepare for the forecast recovery in 2014?”

Findings from  The Recruitment and Employment Confederation and KPMG Report on Jobs shows that growth in overall demand for staff is at its highest for 15 years.  However, it appears that candidates are still not ready to risk a move and the decline in ‘candidate availability’ decreases.

So, what will you, as a receruiter, being doing to prepare for the forecast recovery?

Apparently Michael Page is opening an office in Los Angeles following a “huge market recovery” and Alistair Cox, chief executive of Hays, outlines opportunities for recruiters in Germany and across Asia, and the state of the UK jobs market.  But Recruitment Buzz reports that the job outlook for graduates is still poor.

Will you be expanding into new niches or geographic markets, adding new service offerings to keep ahead of the competition or simply waiting for the vacancies to flood in?!
