At the end of last year we announced the winners of the Recruitment Blog of the Year Awards 2013. I thought I’d celebrate the success of the winners even further by sharing some what we thought their best posts were and suggesting you add them all to your list of must-read blogs.
First up is the The Winner of the Individual Recruiter Blog award who is Sarah Cooper and her Approach The Market blog.
Sarah has over 14 years Recruitment experience both in-house and agency. Her blog is tailored towards the jobseekers but she also blogs at http://sarahloucooper.com/selfology. Her vast range of subjects covered includes jobseeking tips, internet sourcing techniques, psychometrics and what recruitment agencies are – and are not!
Sarah has made it incredibly easy for me to do a summary of her best work by writing a blog called These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things.
My favourites from these include Three Scientific Facts to Getting the Job and Agency Recruiters Are Not…
One of our judges and sponsors, Lee Biggins of CV-Library, said: ““This blog explores topics and themes related to job searching and career progression that aren’t commonly considered, which is refreshing. The articles put forward good advice and thoughtful insight.”
Looking at Sarah’s Selfology Blog is absolutely worth the time too. With over 14 years Recruitment experience she has interviewed thousands of people and has come to realise that the most fulfilled and happy were those who had a strong sense of self and knew what they wanted. Her blog is her journey to learn more about herself. However, don’t think it’s all about her. It’s a fascinating series of articles on personal identity. There is so much excellent content but one recent post I especially like is What do you Share Online with Whom and What Does it Say About You?
