Get Your Head in the Cloud
Location is an important factor to consider when choosing recruitment software. Consider where you want your software to be hosted. Do you want access to a server on your premises, or would you rather have the servers hosted externally? Recruitment software can be deployed through a client server, procured via a software license and maintained on in-house server hardware, or it can be hosted on a cloud platform. Servers increase your Total Cost of Ownership, while cloud hosting is paid for through a monthly subscription fee, with the vendor undertaking hosting and maintaining the system on their servers in a remote datacentre.
This decision depends on your own internal HR structure. Do you have an IT department that would want access to the server to maintain your software or would you rather outsource this service so that someone else manages the solution externally, and takes away the headache?
