Shane McCusker is a former recruiter turned recruitment software developer. He owns and run Intelligence Software developing tools and techniques to help recruit more effectively. He also write blogs and runs free webinars on recruitment technology and techniques as well as being a regular participant at recruitment industry conferences.
Shane is a mine of information and has some great freebies on his site including a Facebook Search tool. He recently upgraded it and added a number of new features including LinkedIn search features. To access the tool go to his website and download the “Facebook Search” Chrome extension (it only works with Google Chrome).
It’s really easy to use but if you need help you can check out one of his videos. When you search either Facebook or LinkedIn the results of the search can be easily downloaded into Excel or some other system making it easy to import into your own database.
Also, with valentines day around the corner he’s added a nifty upgrade so that you can search on relationship status. Handy if you are a recruiter looking for love
PS, he does note that as he’s adding search for more platforms than just Facebook in the near future he will have to change the name of this tool but for the moment at least it is remaining as his Facebook Search Tool.
