Experienced recruiter Ross Owen Williams has recently released a series of three recruitment training books under his RecruitMentor banner. Entitled “Candidate Calls”, “Client Calls” and “Vacancy Qualification and the Placement Process”, the three books are designed to be accessible to newer recruiters and help expedite the professional development process by ensuring readers build a strong knowledge base on which to build their careers.
Ross is a fabulous guy with tons of energy and whilst these books are targeted at newbie recruiters I recommend that it’s actually agency managers who buy these for their new starters to sit alongside the training they are giving them. They can be digested a chapter at a time and then discussed with the team before implementing some of the actions in real life situations that very day.
Ross started his career with GCS Recruitment Specialists in 1999, he became Managing Director of Talisman Technology at the age of 23, quickly growing his business to several £million turnover. Ross sold the company in 2008 and has since freelanced as “The RecruitMentor”, a recruitment training and performance specialist (I also love how he is an actor specialising in bearded roles!)
I’ve been talking about training quite a bit lately (I’ll be interviewing James Caan about his new training venture in June) and think these books are a great addition to any recruitment library.
