Recruitment Directors Learning & Networking Event – 4th July 2013

4JulyOur upcoming Directors event makes me feel like summer must surely be around the corner!  It takes place on Thursday 4th July at the RBS Offices.  We run four events like this a year and they are a great way for directors of recruitment business to learn from their peers whilst networking in a very informal environment.  The events only take you out of the office for a few hours and are priced so that it’s an expense that can easily be justified.  We limit numbers to around 60 attendees to ensure it’s not too large that people feel uncomfortable sharing their experiences or striking up a conversation.

Our subject for this event is Finding and Retaining Great Staff for your recruitment business

At our last event we ran a group learning exercise around the challenges recruitment businesses are facing at present. One of the main one brought up was around the problem of Internal employee skill shortages.

This event will cover solutions to this particular problem as well as much more.  We have some absolutely cracking speakers, including three recruitment industry directors sharing their own experiences:

Jason KennedyJason Kennedy (left), ex MD of Manpower and now Group CEO of Grafton will be talking about how they rebuilt the Grafton business from the inside effectively doubling their consutlant revenues in 36 months.

Paul Farrer (right) has spent the last 20 years helping build the Aspire Global Network (established originally as Phee Farrer Jones in 1992) with six specialist recruitment brands. He has recruited hundreds of recruiters over these years and is going to share some of the mistakes he has made; what they’ve cost the business and the lessons learned.

Lisa JonesLisa Jones will run an interactive session on using social media to find and attract recruiters to work for you .. you may even learn how to never pay a rec2rec fee again!

Luke Schanche (right) works for recruitment business Astbury Marsden as their Head of Talent Acquisition and will lead a conversation on hiring, training and developing entry-level recruiters.

Finally we have Ian Shephard talking about recruitment apprenticeships.

It’s going to be a really great event and we even invite you for drinks afterwards!  If you still aren’t quite convinced Here are photos from a  recent event: and here is a video montage from a previous one.   You can register to attend here.
