My last blog post showing monthly stats from Hitwise and ComScore covered May 2008’s figures. The latest ones I have from ComScore are for July 2008 and are below.
We publish the Hitwise top 10 most visited UK Recruitment sites every week in the ukrecruiter newsletter and once a month (or so) I get the equivalent stats from ComScore. Here are July’s figures.

If you are looking to compare these stats the main differences are that ComScore include sites like Fish4 (Hitwise don’t aggregate data from sites who form part of a network) and that comScore don’t include LinkedIn (they class LinkedIn as a social networking site and rank it under their "conversational media" category as opposed to the "Careers Services and development" category we are seeing above).

Hitwise DO aggregate data from sites who form part of a network – You keep quoting this and its wrong – ask Hitwise!
To prove it, Industy Recruit is a network of circa 800 local sites and all are listed as one aggregation by Hitwise – Many sites list networked sites as part of their brand where they are 100% owned and 100% Job Boards operated by them.
The key is listing the sites and advising Hitwise of sites that are aggregations of the same site/ brand where Hitwise dont know.
Meanwhile Hitwise do not class all of the sites for fish4 as Job Boards as many are newspaper sites unrelated. They treat fish4 as a classified multi business website ie cars, property, other and list it correctly under a multi sector cat rather than as a pure Employment & Training cat website
Comscore on the other hand give the estimate for traffic to the fsh4jobs brand only.

Thanks for this. I have now checked with Hitwise and have updated information…
“Yes we do aggregate data from sites who form a network.
For the Industry Recruit example used in the comment. There are 772 aggregated sites to this main URL. If any of the aggregated URL’s were to host different content or were seen as being completely seperate to the main site we would de-aggregate the site.
Our standard procedure is that we report on the main URL for a website and everything that comes under that.
There are some exceptions to the rule with large sites where it makes sense to report on the sub-sectors seperately, such as Tesco or BBC. However, this depends on the site structure as to whether we can do this. In the case of fish4, their site structure is such that we can’t seperate the job or property sections so we have to report on the site as a whole – we would seperate them if we could.”
So, thanks for pointing that out Claire – I will stop using that wording in the newsletter.
