Top 10 degree subjects for getting a job

This is a very interesting article from The Telegraph listing the top 10 degree subjects leading to employment (or strangely further education).

They are:
Physical Sciences
Mathematical Sciences
Historical and Philosophical studies
Languages
Biological sciences
Agriculture and related studies
Law
Subjects allied to medicine
Education
Medicine, dentistry and veterinary science

The list has been created from data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency who say “rankings are according to the number of respondents who say they are in work or further education within six months of graduation as a percentage out of all those who are either in or seeking work or further education. It does not include students who declared themselves to be ‘not available for employment’.”

Of course what would have been much more interesting would be a list showing details of degrees where graduates are employed full-time in a job for which the degree is directly applicable 5 years after graduation!

Nevertheless an interesting list.
