In the run up to our technology event on the 26th September (you can book your complimentary tickets to the morning and afternoon sessions now) we are hosting blog posts from some of our exhibitors. This is written by Paul Thompson of Voyager Software.
In the world of online this and outsourced that are people beginning to forget that actually meeting a person face to face is one of the quickest ways to engage with someone?
Is it just me that would rather meet someone face to face?
Most Recruiters seem to think that meeting an applicant is a unique differentiator, and for many sectors it really is but recruiters have become increasingly pressured by deadlines and pushed for time and seemingly the face-to-face meeting has been replaced by Skype calls ‘a quick chat’ or for the less budget constrained proper video conferencing facilities.
Recruiters know that candidates serious about finding a job will make the effort to don a suit and meet you and I believe that recruiters serious about sourcing the best recruitment technology will want to meet us too.
I’ll be meeting people face to face and ‘Pressing the flesh’ at the next UK Recruiter and The JobPost technology event and I suspect those serious about business tools and recruitment software will be there too.
In my opinion the key to managing your time (and meetings) is to simply pick the ones you need to do.
When picking fruit do you pick it off the floor or pick the best?
Looking forward to a good show Louise
