After the success of the Google+ Hangouts we held for our technology events this year I’m delighted to be working with Louis from Colleague Software, Alan Whitford and Mark Stephens to host a bi-monthly “hangout”.
For various reasons, mostly so I don’t need to brush my hair, I’ll be behind the scenes (I’m going for the job title Producer and see if Louis, Al or Mark ask me to change it!). Louis is in charge of making the technology work and Alan will host the shows. Alan is more Graham Norton than Jonathan Ross; actually letting the guest answer the questions but knowing when to give them a gentle poke in the right direction.
We will be inviting some of the top experts, influencers, recruiters and thought leaders onto the show to discuss key issues affecting recruitment businesses. Viewers will have the ability to join the hangout themselves to contribute to the discussion or to ask questions – alternatively you can post on Google+ or Twitter using the hashtag #rechangout live during the hangout.
How to take part?
To watch all you need to do is head to this page at the specified time or you can view it on Youtube (I’ll be adding the links after each show).
If you want to join in the hangout contact Louis via louis.welcomme@colleague.eu or on Twitter @ColleagueRS – or simply join the hangout on Google+ at any time. To participate you will need a Google+ account, ear phones and a microphone. If you want to be a main guest on the show drop me a note.
Either before or during the show you can Tweet or post to Google+ using #RecHangout with your comments and I’ll make sure they are brought up during the hangout.
30th October Guests – Dan McGuire and Graham Palfery-Smith
Quite honestly you don’t get better value from many double acts in this industry than from Dan and Graham. They’ll be chatting with Alan about how to build a successful recruitment business …. and then if you are lucky sell it for a LOT of money! It’ll be a nice little introduction to the presentation they are giving at The Recruitment Conference on 12th November.
So put 30th October in your diary and at 4pm head over to Google+ to see the show!
