However, allowing staff to bring their own computers to the office or use them from home to complete tasks could make it a little bit easier, but how can this work?

A positive consequence of BYOD is that it allows businesses to get the most out of new workers, especially in the event of heavy workloads. The increasing prevalence of tablets such as iPads has meant giving workers the chance to finish off tasks they couldn’t do within office hours, be it at home or on the commute to and from work, adding a little convenience into the bargain.
On top of that, BYOD allows for new workers to share files easily, although this does bring the odd security risk with it. The same can be said for using smartphones for work as well, as they can go missing all too easily if not taken care of.
BYOD could enable companies to hire someone who might not otherwise be able to work a conventional nine-to-five shift every weekday. It could also be attractive to companies who are looking to cut costs by allowing workers to use their own computers for most of their workload.
