There are currently 255,908 jobs posted online throughout the UK, but which jobs are most in-demand? WANTED Analytics maintains a database of over one billion job ads spanning 22 countries. Using this data, they examined which job titles are most frequently advertised. The 20 most in-demand job titles in the UK are:
- Administrator
- Project Manager
- Support Worker
- Business Development Manager
- Assistant Manager
- Labourer
- Receptionist
- Sales Executive
- Account Manager
- Quantity Surveyor
- Care Assistant
- Chef
- Manager
- Account Assistant
- Customer Service Advisor
- Registered Nurse
- Electrician
- Nurse
- Teacher
- Business Analyst
The last time WANTED Analytics reported on this data was last autumn. At that time, Project Manager was the most advertised job title. Since then, it has been replaced by Administrator. Receptionist moved down three places from its previous spot on the list. Support Worker climbed two spaces to third. Two sales positions were more in-demand when compared to the other jobs listed. Business Development Manager changed to fourth from seventh and Sales Executive is now at eighth rather than twelfth. Business Analyst was among the top ten and now it appears last on this list. Teacher was more in-demand during autumn, ranking at ninth. It is now listed at number 19. However, as the next school year approaches, Teacher may become a more required position and show a higher standing on the list yet again. Quantity Surveyor, Account Assistant, and Electrician are new to the list. Sales Manager, Store Manager, and Chef Partie are no longer among the top 20.
