In-house Recruiting Blog Winner: Digital People

In our UK Recruitment Blog of the Year Awards 2017 the winner of the In house Recruitment Blog, for the second year running, was the fabulous Digital People blog.  Digital People is the blog channel of the Government’s Digital, Data and Technology Profession which represents about 17,000 professionals in government. The colourful and easily navigable site is a great example of a candidate engagement blog.

Nahid Burke, Head of Marketing and Engagement for the Digital, Data and Technology Profession says:

The strategy for the channel is focused around shifting the outdated perception about working in government, and show what we truly are as a digital employer.  To achieve this we use authentic voices, people talking about their own experiences, combined with a strong emphasis on visual storytelling. This is a cost effective way to get a whole set of messages across at once, and most importantly give readers the opportunity to briefly immerse themselves into the workplace in a way they’ll remember.

We know that visual content is remembered a lot longer than text. It’s especially important as we push and share our stories across social media. We want to make sure we attract our audience’s attention straight away. Communications trends in 2018 continue to show a significant increase in visual communications, so doing this effectively to improve outcomes is more important than ever.

These are three posts I really like from the blog:
