Last week’s REC & KPMG UK Report on Jobs is well worth a read.
It shows the sharpest rise in permanent placements for nearly six years, while temp billings growth accelerated sharply.
The much talked about and anticipated upturn in activity once COVID-19 restrictions are eased drove the quickest increase in overall vacancies since August 2018. As a result, there were signs of improving pay trends, with both stating salaries and temp wages expanding for the first time in three months.
This graph shows the permanent placements and temporary billings indices

I won’t repeat the entire press release as you can read it on the REC site right here.
